Jesse "JT" Matthews Obituary
JT was born in Martin County, North Carolina to Jesse and Selma Matthews on November 10th, 1940. He graduated from Bath High School in 1958. He was to married Frances C Matthews.
He worked for the Quik Shop on Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh for many years and at Hardees Mini Mart on Penny Road in Raleigh for many years..
JT is survived by his wife, Frances C Matthews; his children, Karen, Jay, John, and Patricia, his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
JT is preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Doug Hoover, Mike Ellis, Timothy Medlin, Davis Medlin, Otis Gibbs, and Jeff Rose.
The family of JT wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Jason Jones and the Hospice Organization.
Visitation will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at McLaurin Funeral Home 12830 US-70 Bus. Hwy. W. Clayton, NC 27520.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 13th at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Pastor Charlie Petit officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
