Jesse Martinez Ochoa, age 93, of San Antonio and formerly of Los Angeles, CA, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans' Home in Floresville, TX. He was born July 21, 1922 in Dallas, TX to Eulogio and Nazaria Martinez Ochoa. Jesse served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, meeting his wife-to-be, Josephine Alice Gorman of Brisbane, Australia. When they returned to the States, he worked as a baker in California and returned to San Antonio after his retirement in 1989. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Josephine; all of his brothers and sisters; and companion of 5 years, Rosie Vaca and her son Danny. Jesse is survived by his children: Jesse James and wife Tish, Roberta, and Rebecca; grandchildren John, Mandy and her husband Jim, Chelsea, and Cierra; and great-grandchildren Mary, Falyn, and Surya. GRAVESIDE SERVICE WITH MILITARY HONORS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2015 1:00 P.M. FORT SAM HOUSTON NATIONAL CEMETERY 1520 HARRY WURZBACH RD.
