Jessica Nicole Russ Barnes Jessica Nicole Russ Barnes, age 24 of Richlands, VA, passed away Fri., Oct. 15, 2010. Born March 22, 1986 at Tazewell County, VA, she was the daughter of Carlos Russ, Jr. and Teresa Breedlove Russ of Doran, VA. She was a 2004 graduate of Richlands High School and a 2006 graduate of Southwest Virginia Community College with an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy. Jessica was a member of Trinity Tabernacle Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Carlos Russ, Sr.; and step grandfather, Harold Street. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Josh Barnes; her father-in-law, Leslie Barnes of Cedar Bluff, VA; her mother-in-law, Kathy Patton of Springville, VA; sister-in-law, Samantha Barnes of Springville, VA; maternal grandparents, Roy and Rachel Breedlove of Bland, VA; paternal grandmother, Joan Russ Street of Pounding Mill, VA; several aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends also survive. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wed., Oct. 20, 2010 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, VA, with Rev. James Horton, Rev. Dennis Hagy and Rev. Tim Lester officiating. Burial followed in the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery at Richlands, VA. Pallbearers were Cody Shelton, Brian Stapleton, Matthew Gilbert, Jeff Ray, Larry Armes, Jr., Dylan Armes and Evan Armes. Honorary pallbearers were Roger McNulty, Randy McNulty, Sonny Boyd, Kenneth Alsbrook, Ronnie Cordle, Wendell Smith and Jack Compton. The family received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tues. at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, VA.
