Jessica (Jessie) Rosa Widner, 26 of Speed, MO passed away after a brave battle with cancer Wednesday, April 16, 2014.    
Visitation for Jessie will be Friday,  April 18, 2014  at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  at William Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lone Elm at 10 a.m. with Reverend Paul Weisenborn officiating.  Pallbearers will be Tim Widner, Stephen Kempf, Matthew Kempf, Daniel Kempf, Jim Frankum, and Andy Xufuris.  Honorary pallbearers are Becki Kempf, Leah Zuber and Sara Kraus.  Burial will be at a later date with family.  
Jessica (Jessie) Rosa Widner was born November 2, 1987 in Sedalia, MO. Jessie was the daughter of Hugh Ervin Widner. Jessie graduated from Bunceton High School in 2006 and attended the University of Central Missouri and State Fair Community College.  She worked as shift manager at Pilot Travel Center in Boonville.  
Through Jessie's life she enjoyed raising and showing sheep.  She loved all animals and took in many.   She was a very active 4-Her as a child.  Jessie volunteered many years with the Cooper County Youth Fair and the Miss Cooper County Queen Pageant.  She always looked forward to gatherings of family and friends and the annual family reunion camping trip each year.  
Jessie was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents, Howard and Anna Widner.  She is survived by her brother, Curtis Widner of Speed, MO and grandfather, Paul Wood of Sedalia.  Jessie is also survived by a close family of Aunts, Uncles and sibling-like cousins who loved her dearly. 
Memorials are suggested to the Zion Lutheran School.

To the Widner family. During this difficult time only God can give us the love and peace that we need. We hope that time can heal the pain that you and your family are going through. 1 John 4:8 says that "God is love". He will help you get through this during this sad time.
