Jimmie J Rubattino 1939 2019 Jim passed away peacefully January 11, 2019 in Phoenix Arizona. He was 79 years old. Jim was born and raised in Tacoma, WA, where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958. He was drafted into the US Army in 1962, where he served two years just before the Vietnam War and the next four years in the reserves. Jim was a single parent, raising his two daughters since they were toddlers. He spent most of his adult life in Phoenix and Tuscan, Arizona. He retired from Safeway as a meat cutter. Jim was a sun worshiper and spent every chance he had in the sun. He took long walks and hikes. He was active in his parish, St. Augustine Cathedral Church in Tuscan, the VFW, The American Legion, and the Elks; where he enjoyed a lot of time dancing with the ladies. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dolores Rubattino and his Granddaughter Cynthia Allinger. He is survived by his twin brother. Eugene Rubattino, Jr; his daughters, Laurie Ann Lovett and Rhonda Rubattino, five Grandchildren; Christopher, Ashley, Jennifer, Brittney, Lindsay, Nicholas and five Great Grandchildren, Edward, Annabelle, Silas, Cassandra and Shawn. A Memorial service with military honors will be held January 31, 2019 at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers donate to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research.

Jim sure liked to dance. I enjoyed meeting his dtrs "Laurie Ann" and Rhonda, as well as his grandchildren. I also was pleased to meet his brother and his family. Oh, yes he was a sun worshiper and loved his baby oil. Peace be with you Jim and for your family. I liked the pictures.

I'm sorry I didn't know that Jimmie was in Tucson, as am I and another of his Holy Rosary classmates. We would have arranged to meet up with him and talk about the old times.
