I too have many memories of brother Jim, although we were about 25 years apart, I always enjoyed being with him. Because of the distance between Calgary and where we lived in California and Tennessee, we have not seen much of each other. I have thought of calling many times, and certainly wish that I had done so more. Since we have the same father, I have viewed kids in the first family as a close link with my Dad who has been gone now since 1986. The loss is certainly felt, and it makes us realize we too are getting old. The hope that we have though is that Jesus is coming soon and all this sickness and trouble will be over. I will speak in Sandy and Jerry's behalf too. Right now Sandy is essentially in a comma, as the brain tumor is taking its effect on her. She too, may only be with us but a short time now. We want all of our family to be there in the earth made new, may we live each day with that as our goal.
Please accept our sincere condolences.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together. We remember our Great Uncle Jim as a strong and quite man with a gentle demeanour. I can recall my dad, Walter, enjoying many conversation-filled holidays with Viola and Jim. Time to honour a life well-lived.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. So many happy memories of all our times together as families when all you kids were little. He was a good man. May he rest in peace.

My memories of Jim from my childhood are of a quiet, kind and gentle man. We spent many Sabbath afternoons with the Mabley clan. They are a big part of my childhood. Though he is gone, he will live on in our memories. I am thinking of his family today.

It is with extreme sadness that I write this message. Your Dad and I go back to about the year 1945 or '46. As an 8 or 9 year old I was absolutely amazed and idolized my favourite aunt's handsome and virile boyfriend and was very happy that they decided on marriage. I was pleased to have Jim Mabley in our family. I recall with much fondness the wonderful times I enjoyed visiting Auntie Viola and Uncle Jim at their farm in Delacour and latterly in Dalroy. Those happy days are deeply imbedded in my memory and will be for the rest of my life. His incredible work ethic, devotion to his Family and his dedication to God were other of his fine attributes. I am certain you will miss your Dad but, let me tell you, so will I.
Please accept deepest condolences from both Liz and I at this time.
