West Columbia—Services for Jimmy C. Pound, 61, of West Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Farmer. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Mr. Pound passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2008. Born in North, SC, he was the son of the late, Luther Marion Pound and Ruby Williams Pound. He attended Grace Baptist Church and was an avid supporter of the University of South Carolina.

Surviving are his wife, Katrina K. Pound of West Columbia; daughters and sons-in-law, Katrina and Jamey Meekins of Summerville, Teresa and Johnny Ray of West Columbia; three grandchildren, Kammer Meekins, Culby Meekins, Sadie Ray; sister, Rose Hayden of West Columbia; brother, Bobby Pound of Orangeburg.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. William Babcock and his staff, including South Carolina Baptist Hospital Emergency Care.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 or the SCOA, 166 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210
