Joan Haley Suzuki Nov. 2, 1950- Oct. 5, 2003 Beloved wife of Nobuo Suzuki, devoted mother of Eisho and Juneve Suzuki; loved daughter of Ruth Haley; sister to Linda Haley and Nancy Jamieson. Sister-in-law to Eliel Redstone and Dr. Nicholas Cohen. Nephews include Ariel Haley-Redstone; Masaki and Yuki Miura; Mirza Monsef, wife Sima and children Yusef and Sosan; parents-in-law Masao and Misako Suzuki and Grandmother Nobue. Sister-in-law Miyoko and brother-in-law Mitsue. Joan gradutated from Richmond schools, attended College of Marin and recently returned to school at DVC. Joan devoted eight years to home schooling for Eisho and Junever. Joan was an avid student of spiritual disciplines including Ayurvedic healing and was an instructor in meditation. Joan touched many lives with her wonderful sense of humor and her kind and caring nature. Memorial services to be held. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Joan Suzuki Memorial Fund, held in trust at Mechanics Bank, Hilltop Branch.
