MARION <\!m> Mrs. JoAnne Graves Gore, 68, wife of Jerry Gore, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at her residence after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins, with the Rev. Larry Allen officiating. Entombment will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Born June 17, 1937, in Marion County, Mrs. Gore was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Doris Powell Graves. She retired from DuPont as a lab technician. She was a graduate of Mullins High School. Mrs. Gore was a member of Ariel Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving Mrs. Gore in addition to her husband of the home are a son, Robert Baker and his wife, Sherry, of Mullins; a daughter, Doris Jean Graham and her husband, Kenny, of Galivants Ferry; two grandsons, Ken Graham and Will Baker; a granddaughter, Jessica Graham; a niece, Jackie Gibbs of Charlotte, N.C.; and two great nieces, Christy Coker and Laura Coker.
Mrs. Gore was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Alspaugh. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 2, at Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
