Joe Romine Obituary
Joe Romine Jr., age 88, of Rogersville, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014. He was a loving father, caring shepherd, and beloved friend to many. Joe was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and was an elder of the Oliver Church of Christ for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Sr. and Irene, wife, Martha Elaine (Cox), infant daughter, Martha Jo, and four siblings.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas and wife, Donna, and Jim and wife, Susan; brother, Harvard; grandchildren, Brent Romine, Russ Romine and wife, Laura, and Mary Garner; and great-grandchild, Kalli Romine.
Visitation will be today from noon until 1:30 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with David McConnell, Charles Kretzer, and Alex Bayes officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Joe Romine was a great mentor in my early years growing up. He was a good teacher and had a personality that was contagious. Joe and his wife Martha will always be a important part in my memories as loving and faithful Christian people that cared about others. Mark V.
