Johanna Anderholm

Johanna Antonie Anderholm, 89, was relieved of her physical bonds on May 11, 2023 and entered into rest to join her beloved husband John and other family who departed before her. Born in Germany, to Rudolf and Else Bormann, Johanna emigrated to the United States at the age of 16 and settled with her family in Redwood City, CA. Fondly known as Omi to all who knew her, family or friend she relished being Grandmother Friend to all.

Johanna was an avid and exceptional student and juggled college courses with motherhood and family life. After earning her degree, she enjoyed a long career in banking, becoming one of the first women Operations Officers at Bank of America. She also loved to travel and spent time in numerous countries and locations, always eager to learn about different cultures and photograph her adventures. She enjoyed gardening and the beauty of flowers and was a long-time docent at Filoli Gardens in Woodside, CA. Johanna was also a member of the Baha'i Faith and a devoted follower of Baha'u'llah.

Johanna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her children, Eric along with his wife Kathy, and Susan along with her husband Mike. She was also survived by her grandson, Marcus along with his wife Lauren, granddaughter Erika and grandson Zayne, and by her niece Paige and nephew Blake. She will be missed though her legacy will live on through her love of nature and for having introduced her family to her favorite place The Sea Ranch through our many trips there throughout the years.

Johanna is laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Livermore in a private service on May 17, 2023. In lieu of flowers, Johanna would ask that you provide an unsolicited act of kindness or generous act of service to others.
