Obituary

John F. ""Jack' Bina, 58, Grand Forks, ND died Monday, May 30, 2005 in an automobile accident near Grand Forks. John F. Bina was born May 25, 1947 in Grafton, ND the son of Albert and Frances (Vasiechek) Bina. He was raised and educated at Park River, ND. In 1966 he entered the U.S. Navy. John served in Vietnam before his discharge in 1970. He lived in Wahpeton, ND before moving to Grafton, ND. John married Margaret Kovarik on September 17, 1971 at Bechyne, ND. In 1973 John moved to Grand Forks. He worked as a carpenter at the Grand Forks Air Force Base for many years before beginning work as a millwright for the Lakes and Plains Regional Council of Carpenters and Joiners Union #548. He was a union member for 35 years. John married Cindy Markwardt in April of 1996 in Grand Forks. She died November 22, 2004. Survivors include, daughter, Rebecca (Brent) Caldwell, Spokane, WA; sons, Jeremy Bina, Seattle, WA, Kyle (Kati) Christianson, Grand Forks and Justin Christianson, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Renee Caldwell, Alex Caldwell, both of Spokane, WA, Alysa Christianson and Nathan Christianson, both of Grand Forks and Owen Christianson of Minneapolis, MN; Sister, Lorraine (Quinten) Daley, Burlington, IA; brothers, George Bina, Seattle, WA and Albert (Rangina) Bina, Grand Forks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy; by his parents and by a sister, Marion Herda. Jack will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be Friday (today) from 5 to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour before the Saturday service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunnywood Gardens Cemetery of Grand Forks. Arrangements are with Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. www.amundsonfuneralhome.com

Very Sorry to hear of Jack's untimely death.I can't imagine what you are going thru.Jack was such a fun person and I loved to be around him. I will miss visiting with him at Judy's.

He and Cindy are in eternity and at peace together now.
