John Corley

John Corley of Fort Worth, formerly of Waco, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at the age of 60. Graveside service: and interment at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Oakwood Cemetery with Pat Youngblood officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive, Waco. Mr. Corley was born Oct. 23, 1955, in Dallas, the son of the late Garland and Jean Ann Hopkins Corley. At an early age, he moved to Waco where he was a 1974 graduate of Richfield High School. Most of his life was spent as a journeyman electrician. His most recent employment was with CBA Automation and Walker Engineering, Inc. He enjoyed various types of landscaping, listening to classic rock and Christian music. Also preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Henry Marvin and Emmie Ellen Corley, and his maternal grandparents, John Lee and Alma Hopkins. Survivors: His wife, Sherry; son, Joshua C. Abbott and wife, Crystal; daughter, Stephanie Nadeau; brother, Robert Corley; sisters, Garlene Corley-Shelton, Dyann Corley-Kelly; grandchildren, Hailey Abbott, Micah Abbott, London Abbott, Aiden Abbott and Charlene Mercer.
