Barbara,
I was very saddened to learn of Jack's passing. Ironically I had just spoken about him to a co-worker a few weeks ago. As my first "boss" in a civilian job Jack played a very significant role in both my professional and personal development. He was quite a role model. I have many fond memories, the first was Jack driving us around in a snow storm with now snow tires, when I came for my interview. The others were many great Saturday mornings, when we would just catch up on things of the past week.
I am currently living in WV and working for Mount St. Mary's University in Frederick, MD.
You and your family will be in our prayers.

Dave,
I wish to extend my sincerest condolences and sympathies to you and all of the family. While it has been years since I talked to your Dad, it seems like only days ago. As I read a comment in his obitiuary, I realized how true it was about your Dad..."Jack was a people person who liked everyone equally and always found something to admire of everyone he met." I remember meeting him and thinking that , as busy and as important as he seemed, he always found time to ask how you were or what was going on in your life. He always appeared genuinely interested in talking with you. This was a quality I have always admired in a person...never too important or too busy to take that time.
Take comfort in knowing of all the lives he touched and affected in a positive way.

I am sorry to hear of John's passing, my Aunt Ruth Stahl Pender just adored Jack and thought the world circled him. He was very kind to her during her final stay at Memorial Hospital.

I am very sorry about the loss of Mr. Crichton. My brother, J.D., and Cindy Hess told me you needed caregivers. I am sorry to learn of his passing. The Griffiths and the Crichtons were close for a lifetime. Mr. Crichton was always a gentleman and always kind. He is someone I respected. I send my sympathy to the Crichton family for your great loss.
Sincerely,
Colleen Griffith Reffner

To Dave:
I am saddened by the passing of your Dad Dave. I had the opportunity on several occasions to have extended conversations with him at the Oncology Center. He was truly a man of resolute character and genuine compassion. He was a good man Dave and I'm sure you will miss him a lot. I'm working in Florida this week so I'll be unable to make any of the services. Take care and please extend my condolences to the rest of your family.
