Crowningshield, John David He was born on October 27, 1935 in Mitchell, SD. Lived in Wayzata, MN, Worthington, MN, Coalinga, CA and Long Lake, MN. Died at Golden Living Center, Excelsior, MN on June 11, 2007. Preceded in death by his parents, Bud & Helen Crowningshield. Survived by sister, Anne M. Crowningshield; brother, Cleve (Sheila) Crowningshield; niece, Amy and nephews; The Tucker & Corcoran family cousins; and many dear friends. John graduated from Wayzata High School class of 1954, served in the U.S. Navy reserve from 1952-1960 and was a member of the Wayzata American Legion Post #118. His friendship, generosity and sense of humor will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Evercare and the Golden Living Center, Excelsior, for their kind and loving care. Memorial service Thursday, June 28, 7:00 PM with visitation beginning 5:00 PM at Rettinger Funeral Home, Long Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to family.
