Curt died at home on a summer morning in August. He enjoyed a view of his citrus trees and grapevines. Curt crossed over to the other side after a brief journey through cancer.

Curt was the first-born son of John and Viola (Curtis) McKeever of Port Jefferson, New York. He lived in California's Central Valley for 70 years, with the exception of several years in Boise. He explored by kayak the rivers of Idaho.

Curtis leaves behind sister Lynn Lowman, brothers Jim (Pat) McKeever and Dan (Mary) McKeever, and brother-in-law Garry Engstrom. Curt was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Engstrom and his parents.

Arrangements are by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 10am, followed by a service at 11am at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. Burial will be private.

Curt has been a friend since we met in 1978. We also became friends with Curt´s family and went on camp trips and outings. I had the Pleasure of being a coworker with Curt at two different employers. I have so many memories of him, he was always on the go be work or play. Curt was a person that you could truly count on no matter what. When I think of him It leaves a smile . You will be missed but not forgotten more than you´ll know.

You know you have great love and respect for a person who truly loves his animals For awhile at work I had to bring one of my dogs to work with me everyday, his name is Bondo and he couldn't go home without saying hello good boy and I know that he has lots of his fur babies waiting for him. Take long walks and rest well

I very much enjoyed getting the chance to work with Curt, lots of years together and always a fun and learning experience. I will always keep close to my heart the last time Curt and close friends went out to dinner for his retirement. God bless you and your family
