John was a great man of integrity and character. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. I was blessed to have known John and shared in the fond memories that Thoroughbred Racing offered us. He will be deeply missed by all of us that were fortunate to have met this fine man. God Bless.

I had the honor of knowing and working for this fine man. He was a person of great integrity and character. John allowed me to purchase and train many valuable thoroughbreds for him in N. CA. He loved and enjoyed the beauty and competitiveness of the racing game. The care and welfare of his horses was always John's top priority. Thoroughbred Racing will miss the contributions and generosity of John as will everyone that had the privledge of knowing him. I was always envious of the way John lived life, each day and experience to its fullest. God Bless. Len Shoemaker

John's a blessing to all who know him. The Celebration of Life was the perfect evening to honor John and Lee and showcased his love of life, his beaming smile, his kindness and generosity.
May I learn from him how to live life to its fullest and may he find many new adventures in his new place. God speed to you, John!
