Living across the street from Mr DiBattiste most of my childhood I know that he was such a loving person. I am praying for his family during this difficult time. I know he will be missed greatly but my parents will be happy to see him again in heaven!

Joanne and Family,
Our hearts go out to you. My Dad and Buddy were best friends for over 70 years. I loved him, too. We will miss him very much and hope that God gives you all the strength to get through this difficult time. Wish we could be there to give you a huge hug.

As a neighbor to the DiBattiste family on Reynolds and spending many hours hanging out on Lloyd with Johnny and Mike and Paul Diskin, and also at St. Bede, I remember Mr. DiBattiste as a man everyone liked and will remember always. My condolences to the family at this time.

John DiBattiste was known, loved and respected by everyone in Point Breeze. I only knew he was a fireman and a great one at that however reading the obituary & seeing all he accomplished and endured during WW2 I understand the decent, friendly and tough when he had to be neighborhood Dad that he was to many kids. He will be missed for sure but I know my Dad, "PK" is happy seeing one of his favorite people & good friend "Johnny D" coming through the pearly gates. A life well lived and a testament to "The Greatest Generation", rest in your well deserved peace Mr "D" and please give my love to my parents when you see them. God bless you.
