My sister, Marilyn from Seattle sent me Jackie's Obit. I knew both jackie and Bob DiMano. I was always at their house on 4th St. in Fall River. Carl was friends with my brother Clement. I didn't realize Jackie went on to have such a large family. I remember those days were always filled with fun. I guess Jackie went on to have a good life. Anyone who ever knew him liked him. God Bless Jackie

What wonderful memories we have of our times with Jack & Donna. One of our favorites took place while some of us older family members were swimming in their pool. We had a good laugh as we teased Jack - He was feeding a couple of lizards little spiders he caught in the pool - all the while talking to the Lizards like they were best friends. We had so many good times with you Jack. We will always miss you!
We have no doubts that God was so happy to welcome you home.

Gramps,
I miss you so much already, but I know you are in a better place now. I'm going to miss your crazy jokes and stories. But, I've got memories to hold onto. Like that time i stayed over for a week during the summer and you took me to see "Two Brothers" and you fell asleep, when you were the one who wanted to see it in the first place. (: You were always there for us kids, and I know you always will be. I love you.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My first memory of John was when he was on his “initial” Christ Renews His Parish spiritual weekend journeys. He came up to me the first thing on Saturday morning and emphatically told me I spelled his last name wrong. (And there was that grin on his face and a twinkle in his eyes). “It was DiManno and not DeManno”, John said.
That was almost 4 years ago and the beginning of my love for his dry sense of humor and his ability to grab you with the unexpected punch line. John’s love for CRHP was revealed in his actions and the fact he was involved in all them since his initial experience.
John’s best quality was always thinking of others and living the life that Jesus taught us to do. What an example to emulate!!!
Every time I saw John at St. Joe’s ….. He would be the first, between us, to extend the “tight, manly hug”!!! Sometimes, I wondered if John didn’t have a sleeping bag in one of the confessionals.
He is now hugging Jesus and all the saints who have been waiting for him. I can easily see John smiling and laughing with the droopy eye and twinkles…
He will be greatly missed by all of us… but, his cheerful, helpful and smiling demeanor will be with us. He was a “big” man in a short body… and we didn’t know he was short.
I will personally miss John, and I say this with some water in my eyes right now, as I write this. THANK YOU, JOHN FOR COMING INTO OUR LIVES AND JUST BEING WHO YOU ARE.

John,
I got to know you for a short period of time after being involved CRHP. God who is the one that brought us together to be part of the same group in his church has called you home. I know he has been preparing a place for you in heaven. John we already missing you, but you are now in a place where God needs you the most, your job here is done your love that you share will always be remember. I am sure that God has you helping him set up the dinner table like you did here in St Joseph. John since you are closer to our heavenly Father please tell him to always look out for all us here in earth and we can grow in his faith and his love so one day when he calls us we will be ready to come home. John I know you will be busy in heaven, but if have time and see my relatives and friends that have gone to heaven introduce yourself and tell them that we are doing ok and they are always in our heart as you also will be with all us that you share your love. I pray for you and your family as I know you will intercede and pray for us in heaven. Thank you brother and have great life in Heaven. Amen. Pedro Gomez

To The Family of John P. DiManno, John was a man who was always there, I don't know what we are going to do without his smile, jokes and readiness to do anything to help. The community that he help build here at St. Joseph's will be off-beat that is for sure, for awhile. The person who takes John's place, better have some big shoes to fill the things that he did. For I know when John enters the gates he will greeted with " Good job oh Good and Faithful Servant." for John was all that and more. But let us not be sad today for I know John is in a better place. A place where his duties will continue to be to serve the Lord. He wouldn't know any other way. Even though I know John from way back in the day at Steve's Electric, never knowing that what I would remember him most for is for being a brother in Christ. We both enjoyed our comments to the Lord through our position that he allowed us to have to better serve HIM in Our Community. Good bye John, hope to see you again someday. To the family, please Lord give them the strength and grace to carry on until they meet John again, as you promise.

John was one of a kind. He was a devout Catholic Christian. He attended daily mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven,FL. He was active in many of the church's activities. He was a great asset to Christ Renews His parrish. He was the sacrestin, facilities coordinator and everything else including the resident joke teller. He was a dedicated Christian who was humble, caring and an inspiration to all who knew him. He is at rest in his and our divine saviours arms Jesus Christ.
