Dear Lois and Family,
I was very saddened to learn of John’s passing on July 12. John and I knew each other since high school in Omaha. We played baseball for Storz Brewery and drank their good beer after the games. We also golfed at Miller Park and sometimes attended music and picnic events at Peony Park. John and Jack Christian recruited me for the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at the University of Iowa, and we went there together as Frat Pledges in 1948. In 1949 we traveled back to the University for the Fall Semester in John’s new Chevrolet convertible, purchased for him by his dad. Somewhere in my house I have a black and white photo of us standing next to and sitting in that car. It was a wonderful time. John was an intelligent, competitive friend with strong leadership qualities that all of us around him admired. With his passing I feel that part of my life has passed too. We are having our ninth reunion of Phi Gamma Delta members at the University of Iowa next month on September 7 and 8. John and you will be sorely missed. We will honor his memory at that gathering. I will always value my friendship with John and with you, Lois, from our days together as grade school students at Miller Park Elementary School. I hope that you and your family will take comfort now and in the future in all of the wonderful things John accomplished in his life. One thing is certain and that is that he will be missed by many people in our world.

Dear Lois:
On behalf of my parents, Joan and Don Vosti, and for myself - friend and classmate of Lynne (Crystal Lake High School - Class of '69), our deep condolences to you and the family. You and John were wonderful friends to my parents and knowing both Lynne and brother Bill in high school -- well, John's quality shows in the next generation. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Dinzole Family,
My mother Carol and I would like to express our condolences and hope that you can find some comfort in your time of need.
I was only 17 when I started working at Black Dot in the computer room, which was secured by a big picture window. As Mr. Dinzole would do his rounds through the plant overseeing his employees, he would stop by the window with his pipe in hand nonchalantly checking out what everyone was doing. We would smile at him and he always responded back with a gracious smile and hi back!
Black Dot was one big happy family in those days, we all cared and watched out for each other.
Our deepest sympathy to your family!

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of John Dinzole. He will be missed by all that knew him. He will be remembered as a great leader and mentor for all that worked with him.
I first met John less than a week after starting at Black Dot thirty years ago. Having him walk past me and saying “Good morning Tim” without ever meeting me before, told me that he had an interest in all the people that worked for him.

To The Dinzole Family: I first met John as a client but within seconds he became a great friend. His greeting on the phone or in person always had a way of making me feel like he was always so pleased to see or hear from me. He had the great gift of making everyone feel good about themselves. He has touched me deeply for which I am most grateful.

Dearest Dinzoles,
Our heart felt prayers are with you at this time. John was a person that everyone respected and loved. He was honest, loving, caring and always spoke with great admiration of his children, grand children and family. He was a one of a kind man and we will all miss him. He was my friend, my mentor and I will always be grateful for the time I was able to spend with him at work, the few times hunting, fishing and especially Golfing. I have never met a more competitive person or a better business man or athlete. He touched all of our lives in a special way! Good bye dear friend, may you rest in peace and we will always remember you and the role model you were to all of us.

Dear Dinzole Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Dinzole. I have many fond memories with him. From before we moved to Crystal Lake when he took the Dinzole kids and the Bachmann Kids fishing in "the country" (about 38 years ago) he called me "Terrible Tom", with out fail. I saw him this last October, and with his big Smile, the words "there's Terrible Tom" were spoken, which as always brought us both a laugh.
I'll always remember him in black wing tip shoes, even if he was wearing Jeans.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend his memorial service, as I wish I could.
Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with your entire family during this difficult time.
God Bless,
Roberts (Bob) Burton

John and I were fraternity brothers in Phi Gamma Delta at U. of Iowa and I was saddened to read of his death. We were also on the freshman baseball squad. He was my battery mate and once hit a Babe Ruth type home run to dead center field after telling me from the batter's box that he was going to do it. We almost got a golf game going over in Michigan one summer but it somehow didn't happen. I will always remember him from those college days in Iowa City.

John Dinzole was both a great businessman and a very nice man. He always had a smile on his face and showed genuine concern when he asked how you were doing. He was one in a million and I am grateful I met him.
