SEYMOUR: John J. Doohan, age 54, entered peaceful rest on January 18, 2023, at Griffin Hospital, with his family by his side. He was the beloved fiancée of Candace Mitchell of Seymour.
John was born in New Haven on August 26, 1968, son of Sharon Kelsey and Gordon L. Kelsey of Naugatuck. He had worked as a roofer throughout his lifetime. John was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. He enjoyed playing Keno and above all spending time with his daughter Samantha.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert W. Doohan III.
