John and I both attended Aldergrove high, I was always entertained by his ability to play sports at a high level. We both moved on in life and both became meat cutters. He moved on and I stayed with it. Not seeing him for many years, on a walk, my brother, Bob, introduced me to him and we shared stories. He introduced me to his favourite walk, the McKee bluffs and his love of baseball ( Dodgers). I enjoyed the celebration of life for John , and I wore my Yankees tee shirt as I knew he would expect that. Someday he and I might be able to take in a series game together.

Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with you, Linda, and the rest of the family. John will be deeply missed by the many folks whose lives were intertwined with his. He was a visionary who put action to his Christian commitment. I'll miss meeting him along the Whatcom trail!
