John EBBERS Obituary
September 7, 1917 - July 22, 2013
John T. Ebbers of Edmonton, Alberta went to be with his Lord on July 22, 2013 at the age of 95.
John was predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen Ebbers. He is lovingly remembered by his five children and their families, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by one sister, Hilda Tompkins, from Colorado.
John worked tirelessly throughout his life for Christian Education and other causes. He spent countless hours visiting the sick and shut-ins.
The family would like to express deep appreciation for the care, concern and dedication provided by the staffs of Sherwood Care and Emmanuel Home.
A Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton. A Memorial Service will be held at First Christian Reformed Church, 10956 - 96 Street, Edmonton, on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Cecil Van Niejenhuis officiating.
Friends who so wish may make memorial donations to Emmanuel Home or Sherwood Care.

A lovely old fellow. I met him in 2009 when he and some other Dutch seniors came to visit his Aunt Gertie's old store in Riverdale. The local newsletter wrote him up and ran a nice photo. Sorry to hear he has passed away.
