My favorite class in the three years I spent at Boulder High was the ANATOMY class I took from John Fitch. He was an awesome teacher and I still remember everything we learned. Our condolences!!

Ron and Nancy,
Wanted to let you know that your father was one of a few teachers that taught more than just science classes. I have always been reminded how gracious he was to let me on the ski club bus when I was in Jr. High because of an older sibling...and that he was instrumental in maintaining my interest in science as a profession, which I have today due to your dad sharing his time and attention. My sincere respects to you both on his passing.

Dear Ron and Nan,
Lots of years make the memories sweeter. Your dad was a great guy -- I remember his kindness and the twinkle he had in his eye when he was teasing. We're all richer for having known him (and his wonderful famiy).

Dear Ronnie and Nancy,
I am just so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was such a fun teacher and a great guy to take us all skiing. He will really be missed and I wanted to sent my codolences to the two of you, and let you know that I am thinking of you. Love, Susan Archibald

Our families were friends for so many years. I remember Thanksgiving Dinner up in Pine Brook Hills sometime in the later 1950`s.

I never had Mr. Fitch as a teacher but I was always aware of his contributions at BHS. He was very involved with the students and easy to talk to.
I am sorry for your loss.

Sad news for me--John Fitch was my tennis coach at Boulder High School, and an informative and stimulating teacher of geology my senior year. He was a great role model for all of us, and he put up with our (mine in particular) bad moods after a loss. He turned those moments into learning experiences with his patience, not to mention his understanding of the game. I have thought about him often through the years as I too, became a teacher, a coach, and a continuing player until back problems took me out of the game. Old friends and old teachers leave a lasting impact. John Fitch was as fine a man as I have known. I am sure that others will echo that sentiment.
