John Michael Frank, 59, of Columbus, Georgia, transitioned to Heaven on June 7, 2025, at Piedmont Columbus Regional - Northside. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia.

Born on August 19, 1965, at Martin Army Hospital on Fort Benning, John was a lifelong resident of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sara Ruth Frank and Ralph Anthony Frank, Sr. He is survived by his brother, Ralph Frank, Jr., and his sister, Betty Jean Hall and her husband Ricky; a nephew, Christopher Hall and his wife Nicole; and a niece, Bria Lee and her husband Justin. He was a proud great-uncle to Carson Vaillant, Hunter Vaillant, Lexi Lee, Bristol Lee, Evan Hall, Cohan Hall, and Stella Hall. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family members Gail Pepper (Ian), Mike Hall (Linda), Tommy Hall, Sharon Henry (Jess), and Robert Hall (Tammy), along with all their children and grandchildren, as well as many beloved cousins in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

John was Catholic by faith and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for many years, where he found spiritual comfort and community.

He graduated from Baker High School in 1986, beaming with pride and giving a big thumbs up as he received his diploma-a moment his family remembers with joy.

In 2000, John became a proud member of the Columbus Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation program, where he participated in Special Olympics bowling and bocce. Through this program, he formed incredible, lasting friendships and enjoyed a wide range of activities-from holiday dances and birthday celebrations to field trips, sporting events, and more. Easter Seals of West Georgia also played a significant role in John's life, offering him a sense of community, friendship, and love. He especially delighted in new clothes, the music of the 1960s and 1970s, and television series like his beloved The Partridge Family.

John's most favorite person in the world was his brother, Ralphie. He felt the steadfastness of his brother's love at all times, a bond that brought him constant comfort, strength, and joy.

John touched countless lives with his warm heart, bright spirit, and enduring friendships. He was cherished by his TR family, his Easter Seals family, his Britt David Pottery Studio friends, and the staff at Columbus Speech and Hearing. The compassionate care provided by Dr. Sexton's medical team over the years was deeply appreciated by John and his family. Among the many special people who held a place in his heart were Ms. Tina, his "forever girlfriend," and Ms. Ellen, his loyal "BFF bodyguard." John's life was a beautiful testament to love, resilience, and the power of genuine human connection. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
