I will always remember those times Mr. Giarratano rang the doorbell to pick up my father, Willy Novak, and I to go on a skiing trip to. He would whisk us off, along with his nephews (Marty & John) and niece (Mary) to a local resort such as San Isabel or Westcliff. Sometimes we would venture all the way to Monarch. We would spend the day skiing up and down the slope building (I didn't know it at the time) lifelong memories and life lessons. What adventures those were to me as a teenager! He was always smiling, helpful, patient and kind. He was a lifelong friend to my father and served at my father's funeral. He has a very special place in my heart. Thank you Johnny for making this world a better place and being such a strong and lasting role model. Sincerely, Kavon (Novak) Rueter.
