HOCKEY – John, 78, Johnstown, passed away May 14, 2009, at Memorial Medical center. Born Aug. 1, 1930, in Johnstown, son of John and Rose (Marchick) Hockey. Preceded in death by parents and sons, Ronald and Richard. Survived by wife, Josephine (Feketi) Hockey, Johnstown. Loving father of Sharon, married to Frank Tomera; and David, married to the former Regina Kvarta, both of Johnstown; Patricia, married to Michael Neff, York Heaven, Pa.; and Marie, married to Robert Palesch, Dilltown, Pa. Devoted grandfather to Frank Tomera Jr.; Timothy, Brian and Kimberly Palesch; Brittany Neff; and Alexis and Brianna Hockey. A brother of Donald, Johnstown, and Roland, New York. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Retired from the 11-inch mill Division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. A member of First Catholic Slovak Band Hall and St. Francis of Assisi Church, were funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, the Rev Martin Cingle. Committal, St. Francis Cemetery. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street.
