To Julie and family, and to the siblings of John Ross, I extend my condolences for your loss. I have fond memories of John Ross and our neighborhood gang and the many back yard baseball games playred while growing up in Panguitch, Utah and of listening to Beth and Ross play the piano together. I especially enjoyed the time together when Ross and Julie visited here in Nova Scotia just a couple of years ago.

Ross was a staple of the community with many talents. A man with of faith,integrity,fairness,non-judgemental,good to his fellow men, hard worker, fabulous sense of humor, loved his family and community. Washington County will miss this fine man but will flourish on what he has left behind.

I served with Elder Hurst in the West Central States Mission and I loved his piano playing. He has a great sense of humor and I find myself with many good memories about out time together in the Mission Home on Rimrock Road. He is a good man.

During this past years Celebrity Classic I helped Ross take the tee packages for his team from the room at the Dixie Center to the parking lot where he was parked. The trip took close to an hour because every 4 or 5 steps he would stop to visit with one of the many friends along the way. The friends were the Who's Who of St George. To his family all I can say is that I am overwhelmed with sadness for your loss. We have all lost a great great friend!

We send our love and sympathy to Becca, Pat and the entire Hurst family. We met your father on several occasions, even attending his ward when we were in St. George over Spring Break. He was a good, kind man. We are sorry for your loss.
