Jack and I drilled together over at the USN & MCRTC, 4902 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, Pa. for many Years. I retired in 1981.The guys called him Gung Ho Jack, actually a term of respect. Do it right the first time and full speed ahead , that was his approach to his life. No shortcuts. Alas, I lost touch with Jack after I retired. It was my loss. Jack knew of my father who also worked for Duquesne Light.
Enjoy fair winds and following seas Jack. You deserve a rest. I hope to see you again when its my turn to walk the streets of glory.

Respectfully,

Glenn C. Matthews
