On March 14, 2012 , John W. "Johnny" Jacobs, 77, of Braddock. Husband of Josephine (Rose) Jacobs; father of John R. (Kathy) Jacobs, David L. (Dawn) Jacobs, Karen Jacobs (Keith) Brown, Jonathan Cook, Alice Cook and Vincent Dudley; brother of Ruth Bryant, Eva Jacobs and Joseph N. (Darla) Jacobs; brother-in-law of James (Brenda) Rose; also survived by 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other family members and friends. Visitation Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Willow Way Worship Center, 736 Washington Street, Braddock. Funeral service Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Unity Baptist Church, 1023 Talbot Avenue, Braddock. Interment Homewood Cemetery. Services of comfort entrusted to WATTS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, INC., 808 Talbot Avenue, Braddock (412-271-3880).

Sis. Jacobs, I will always remember how the two of you would always greet Clayton & I with a great big smile & hug upon our visits back home. The interest you showed in our lives, how we were settling in our new home and you always had encouraging words of inspiration. I love you for that.
In your time of sorrow I say to you, what we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us. Where there is sorrow there is holy ground. I would say to all the family & friends who are mourning... look upon each day that comes as a challenge, as a test of courage.
