John Kaczor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 2, 2025.
John was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL to Elizabeth and Peter Sr. Survived by brother Peter Jr., Uncle to Sara and Nick, and cousins Sharon (George) of Ohio and Martin (Debbie) of Colorado. John was blessed with many friends from his days growing up in Plantation that were consistently present for him. He was an accomplished junior golfer and was invited to practice with the Plantation High School golf team as an 8th grader which was a first for PHS. John went on to play for 4 years on the Plantation High School golf team and won the majority of the matches he played. It was easy for John to become a huge Dolphin fan, and was a season ticket holder for several seasons. A good friend convinced John what a great sport soccer was to play and John began playing more soccer than football, playing anywhere a ball would travel truly, and he played 3 seasons of amateur soccer with very accomplished players from around the world. He never stopped being a Dolphin fan, and became equally interested in following the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Panthers hockey, World Cup Soccer and Premier League games - it was a great way for him to stay connected with long time friends. After graduating from Plantation High School and Broward College many doors were opened to him in the south Florida Turf/Grass and Golf Course industries. Beginning with the University of Florida Agricultural Extension Office he went on to manage some of the most aesthetically appealing and challenging golf courses in Palm Beach and Broward counties. He also evaluated and selected trees for family and friends to plant on their property 50 years ago that continue to grow tall and strong. During his career he was able to earn his degree from the the University of Georgia. John made many lasting friendships in his career in the Golf Course industry. John was baptized in the Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and when his family moved to Plantation they became founding members of Saint Benedict's Episcopal Church where John was later confirmed and served as a youth acolyte. A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at Saint Benedict's Episcopal Church in the very near future. Please confirm with Saint Benedict's Episcopal Church in Plantation for a date and time or with family and friends of John.

RIP John. It was always great catching up with you at our reunions. Your dry sense of humor kept us laughing. I pray you are in a wonderful place hitting golf balls.

Gone far too soon. I have fond memories of him in high school with his wry sense of humor, a twisted grin and a quiet kindness he had that always hit just right. Guess our last reunion will be a great one. Rest in peace until then, John.

Gone far too soon...rest in peace, John. I hope you know how deeply you were loved, most certainly by me, but also everyone you gave your friendship to. I cherish my memories of our time together and the long friendship that followed. You touched so many lives in your short time. I take comfort in knowing your mom was waiting to greet you.

John & I were best friends, we were so close we were both engaged to the same woman, different times of course. We did alot of things together, some I to keep private I was really surprised when I got the news from Pete about his passing. I´ll never forget you, old friend.
