John Karber Obituary
Burial will be in Aldredge Cemetery under direction of Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin.
Mr. Karber died Nov. 30, 2006.
He was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Madison County to John Dave and Eunice Karber. He was a veteran of the Air Force and served in Thule, Greenland. He was a member of Central Church of Christ and owned and operated an insurance agency.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Karber, and granddaughter-in-law, Tasha Karber.
Survivors include sons, Roger Karber, Scottsdale, Ariz., Ken Karber, Nogalus Prairie, and Jonathan Karber, Fort Worth; daughter, Lisa Guajardo, Hudson; brothers, Harvey Karber, Bedias, Bruce Karber, Magnolia, Randell Karber, Madisonville, and Billy Karber, Round Rock; sister, Donna Thurman, Katy; 10 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Karber, Jeremy Karber, Nick Spencer, Mark Karber, Bart Karber, Alex Weatherford, Jay Boyd and Leon Huffman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Guajardo, Ethan Karber, Misty Spencer, Angela Karber, Gabrielle Guajardo, Katie Karber, Amanda Karber and Hannah Guajardo.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to India Evangelism Fund, Central Church of Christ, 711 N. 2nd St., Lufkin, 75901.
