My Dad, My Mentor, My Hero. You made Me Strong and made us who we are today! My heart is heavy and truly saddened. I know one thing is true, you´re with our Lord Jesus Christ, departed family and friends. Absent from the body Present with our Lord. Thank you Jesus for the strength and promise of eternal life through you. My Pop taught us to Love the Lord with all your heart, mind and Soul, to always commit to your word, to be honest, give 100% in everything you do. You´ll always be admired, loved, missed and never forgotten. Wonderful stories, laughter and Love will be forever memories of you. Your Son and Baby Boy, Love Ethan

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle John´s passing. He was a great guy and he was always kind and funny. Mom was the oldest in the family.(Iva) and Uncle John was the baby! I was always so proud when he was the chief of police in Alton. Sadly, I think the last time I saw him was at Ethan`s wedding in Carbondale. Hugs to all my cousins. Love to Aunt Carol too.

We would like to offer our condolences to Carol and her family at this sad time. I'm grateful that I got to know John over the years in person and over many phone calls. He was a man of many talents and I will miss our conversations.
Sincerely,
Jim and Brenda Cannon and family
