Resident of San Leandro
A man of great faith has died after a prolonged illness.
John Michael Litvinchuk was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, married to Viola in 1945, and moved his family to Oakland, CA in 1950. He started a real estate career in 1962 and opened Litvinchuk Real Estate in Washington Manor in the 1970's where he worked actively until he turned the business over to his son Paul in 2009. Over the years he touched many lives with his deep faith and practical wisdom. He will be remembered for his many stories, his jokes, and the Ghirardelli chocolates he gave to those he met. He was a proud Army Veteran of WWII. His strongest passions were for his family and his Catholic Faith.
John was preceded in death by his, wife, Viola (2011), and their daughter Angela (1988). He is survived by his children; Mike (Karen), Fran (Ted O'Donnell), Mark, Mary, Joe (Susan), Paul (Sue), Margaret, and Matt (Stacy), 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
A Vigil will be held Wed, July 24rd at 7:00 pm at St. Felicitas Catholic Church, 1662 Manor Blvd., San Leandro. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thurs, July 25th commencing at 10:30 am at the church.

You only had to meet John once to know that he was there to help you in any way he could. This was a man who walked his talk.

What a nice man! I helped Mr Litvinchuk when I worked in City Hall many times on gathering permits! He will be missed!
