John Loupé Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 6 to Feb. 10, 2024.
John Arthur Loupe' was born in Chicago, IL to Richard Wesley and Edith Lucille Loupe'. Both of whom preceded him in death. John was a devoted husband and a great father.

John was a devout Christian who dedicated his life to serving and understanding the Will of God. He was a long-time member of a church on the Southside of Chicago, serving his church family in a variety of ways throughout his tenure. He continued his own personal spiritual journey until his passing.

He began his educational journey in Shelbyville, TN and later in Chicago, IL, obtaining his Bachelor's degree from the National College of Education, and his Master's degree from National Louis University.

During his time in Chicago, John worked as a floor trader at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Upon relocation back to Tennessee where he grew up, he worked for the Department of Revenue for the State of Tennessee for 21 years and retired in 2015.

Although John has transitioned to a new plane of existence, he left behind a substantial legacy that will continue to make ripples throughout time. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife and best friend of 53 years, Robbie; eldest son Christopher, daughter in-law Shannon; sons Richard and Marcus; grandsons Dylan and Collin, along with a host of relatives from the lines of Terry and Hix.
