John MAYBRODA Obituary

MAYBRODA, John It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father and Gido (Giggy). On January 7, 2003, Mr. John Maybroda of Edmonton passed away peacefully after a valiant struggle with cancer at the age of 72 years with his wife at his bedside. Left to mourn his loss is his loving wife, Katherine of 43 years; two sons and one daughter, Virgil (Michelle), Dwayne (fiance, Katherine) and Rosalie (Ruben) Quiroz, all of Edmonton; his very special pride and joy, his four cherished grandchildren, Connor, Draven, Marek and his little angel, Caitlin; five brothers, Harry of Logan Lake, BC, Mike (Liz) of Yellowknife, NWT, Peter (Elsie) of Edmonton, Fred (Bertha) of Edson, Paul (Liz) of Edmonton; two sisters, Mary Tchir of Edmonton and Kay (Bill) Melnyk of Trail, BC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Nancy; granddaughter, Gabriella; sister, Natalka; also his mother and father-in-law, Mary Huculak and Alex Huculak. Prayers Wednesday, January 15 at 6:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 - 111 Avenue. Funeral Service Thursday, January 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel. Most Reverend Bishop Elect Joseph Royer officiating with interment in St. Michael's Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Grey Nuns Palliative Care, Room 3C60 (Unit 43), 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4. "Gone Fishing" Park Memorial Ltd.
