John Roger Perkins

John Roger Perkins May 30, l941 - February 5, 2014 . John was born in London, England durimg WW11. He began his life learning to survive after a difficult childhood. In the 60's his best buddy, Ray Garnett encouraged John and his first wife, Kay, to follow him to Vancouver, Canada. They lived in Richmond and Tsawwassen in those earlier years where they raised their two children, Lee and Mark. John made many friends through his body-building and the ex pat British community. He met his second wife, Carol, at her cafe', Bay Area Gourmet. His friends and family and his gym and golfing buddies were the centre of his life. John spent his last 23 years surviving the difficulties of Parkinson's disease. His sense of well-being and wonderful humour will keep him in our memories. His spirit is within his family and friends forever. He is survived by his daughter, Lee (Phil) Dumoulin, son Mark, stepsons Rob (Kyrsten) and Chris (Emeko) Livingstone. His grandchildren Kalli, Jake and Ethan, and step-grandchildren Rachel, Ryan and Robyn, will dearly miss their Papa John. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the kind and caring staff at KinVillage these past 7 years. A celebration of John's life will be held at KinVillage Community Centre, 5410 10th Avenue, Tsawwassen, B.C. on April 6th, 2014, from 11-2pm. There will be a buffet lunch
