John was the quintessential gentleman--not only a gentleman, but a gentle man. His courteous demeanor will never be forgotten by those who truly knew him. Having known and having gone to school with him from Emerson Junior High, through Bakersfield High School, Bakersfield College, and on to Fresno State, his integrity shone through his every action. Rest in Peace, John.

I knew John from seeing him on the bus nearly daily for almost 15 years. He was s such a nice guy and a gentle man. We talked about so many things and about life and he was very much a paternal figure to me. I cannot express how deeply saddened and shocked to learn of his passing.

John was a such wonderful person who always helped others whenever he could. He always had smile on his face. He was such a good gentleman. He was only retired five years, did not have enough time to enjoy his golden years. I feel sad and miss him very much.

John was a gracious and kind professional who was a joy to work with. It seems he has left us all too soon.

John was a true friend and co-worker. He was very intelligent and always performed his work in a timely and competent manner. He had the ability to defuse any tense situation. I will miss him.
