Age 88 of East McKeesport on Sunday, April 30, 2006. Beloved husband of Ruth M. (Ginther) Potter; loving father of Leroy Potter of Penn Hills, William (Darlene) Potter of White Oak, and Randy (MaryJo) Potter of McKeesport; grandfather of Jennie Destephano, Jessica Heintz, William, Michael, and Michelle Potter; great-grandfather of Zachary Heintz; preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Martin, Ruth Vranich and brother, William Potter. John was an insurance agent for John Hancock Insurance for 20 years and also a driver for Leas Flower Shop in East McKeesport for 25 years. Friends will be received May 9, 2006 Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC. corner of Shaw & Triboro Avenues, Turtle Creek, (412-823-1950) where services will be Wednesday 11:00 am. Private interment will follow at Churchill Cemetery.
