Hard to believe Johnny Rocca passed four years ago. I always admired him as a person and as a Mercury drag racer. Rest in peace.

I met Johnny at Old Dominion Raceway in 2008 or so. What a great guy, I really enjoyed talking to him. Rest in peace, warrior.

I met Johnny Rocca back in the mid 1990s at Maryland International Raceway,I was 17 years old I had just Graduated from High school. I had just started working for family friend Tommy Gray Racing known as The Fridge Pro Mod ZR1 Corvette #1180 out of Dundulk Md, I'll never forget when Johnny Rocca walked up and Introduced him self to Me he was a tall Man very polite and kind wearing His Native American suit and he danced. Johnny loved his Native American Heritage. Johnny was a true Sportsman on and off the the track. A true hero to all of the Kids and Big Kids alike.Thank you Johnny for the Memories to last a lifetime You will be truly missed Thank you for Mentoring and Nurturing all of us Racer on and off the off the Track over the Years. You will not be forgotten.
