SHIER, John November 30, 1930 - Ocotber 22, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. John Shier on October 22, 2006. John will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 55 years, Dorothy; four children, Sid (Janis), Tim (Dora), Brenda (Andy) and James (Barb); six grand-children, David, Lisa, Carrie, Tanya, Jaylene and Melissa; two great-grandchildren Taya and Hailey; three brothers, Harold, Don and Walter; six sisters, Norma, Dorothy, Avis, Verda, Elva and Erva, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. No Service by request, but family and friends are invited to join us for a luncheon to celebrate John's life on Thursday, October 26 between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at King Edward Community Hall, 7708 - 85 Street. The family would like to give special thanks to St. Joseph's Auxillary Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's Memory to St. John's Auxillary Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 10707 - 29 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6J 6W1
