Sorry for the lost of john. I am lost for words. I played little league baseball with john and went to jr high school with him. In the early 1980's John and I were co-workers at Aerovox for 5 years, John in shipping and I in receiving. John was a very good worker and listener. In life, being intelligent and kind to others are the most important qualities a person can have, especially kindness, and John displayed both. I am truely sorry for your loss. Sincerely.

John was a man of dignity, courage, strength and most importantly humility. That's a rare combination. He left a lasting impression on many young ball players, as well as coaches. Congratulating a player on a great play, or just words of encouragement to a timid young player at the plate. John Sinko was simply the most decent human being I've ever been associated with. I'm certain your reward in Heaven will be great.

Dear Terry, Jeff, and Tom Please accept my heart felt sympathy's on the lost of your husband and father. I have had the honor and pleasure of umpiring with John for over ten years. John was one of those special guys that come along only so often and when you meet one it lasts a life time. John never had a bad thing to say about any one and if he had a problem with a coach or manager he would always say he can not be that bad because he's giving his time to teach and coach the kids. As the umpire assigner I can not bring myself to take John of my list. John keep up the good work my friend. We all will miss you dearly.

As a close friend of John's sons Tom and Jeff, I'm honored to be a witness of John's inspiring soul. Knowing his family, intellectual, genuine, and beyond kind, is a testiment to the blessing John provided as a father and husband. During his "battle" with illness he truely amazed and baffled myself and the medical field. He is a hero of mine, exemplified by his strength. He literally looked better than me during his entire treatment, and exercised vastly more than I could. You could have thought he was fooling us all and was never sick. Considering his sons wonderfully wild sense of humor, it would not of phased me if it was his practical joke. Who works full time while riding your bike to chemotherapy. A dam superstar. A beautiful soul, beyond blessed to have been influenced by John. Thank you Mr. Sinko, we love you forever and always.

John was my boss at Shuster but he was so much more than that. I was a 19 year old kid who didn't know much about anything and John taught me a lot of life lessons that still ring true today, at 31 years old. He was like a second dad to me and I'll always remember how great of a guy he was.

It's many a mile I ran alongside John Sinko and it was my privilege to know him. During those long runs we shared much more than the road. I remember especially the frigid ten milers we endured Sunday mornings from Buttonwood Park, training through the winter for Boston. Friendships forged like that run deep and endure forever.
I offer my condolences here to his family. May you all find some comfort in the knowledge that John was loved and respected far beyond your imagining.

Jeff, I'm so sorry to hear about your father's passing. He was a good man and he and your mom were among my favorite customers when I worked at Stop & Shop. Much love and peace to you, your mother, Tom, and the rest of your family during this time and remember, the ones we love never really leave us.

Fairhaven baseball has lost a great umpire and important figure. Mr. Sinko was always willing to teach a player or congratulate them on an amazing play or job well done. He had a profound influence on both our sons' lives and we will all miss his smiling face.

Dear Terry, Jeff, and Tommy,
We are so sorry and sadden to hear that John has died. The memories that we have of John are many and great. He leaves a wonderful family and so many friends and his death will be felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. John always knew how to bring out the best in everyone and he always cared and loved his family and friends to the fullest. As the boys grew up together John was always there to lend a hand and always kept a watchful eye to assure that they where safe and happy. As time passed and our paths grew apart John always was happy and excited when he saw those whom he had not seen in a long time. He is a remarkable man who will be deeply missed by his family and also by all those who's lives he has touched. May the memories that you and the boys have help ease the pain and sorrow of his death. May the love and support from those who.knew and loved John be your support and comfort during this sorrowful. If there is anything that we can do please let us know. You and the boys will be in our thoughts and prayers.
With all our love and compassion,
John, Cindy and Quintin Marcelino

To the entire Sinko family and John's many friends my deepest sympathy. I had the great pleasure to umpire many games with John and relished in his recounting of his vacations and experiences running. He was a fun guy to be around, a class act and his presence on this earth will be missed. John is safe now in The Lord's hands free from pain and torment. It is said that umpire's heaven is where you get to work third base every game, so no more plate games for you my friend!!--RIP .
