Grandpa, Thanks for letting me sit on your lap and drive the car when I was a little girl. Thoughts of you are always with me.

Fran, I just read today's paper, 6 p.m.that Jack had died. Please accept my condolences to you and your family. I fondly remember the good times our families experienced in your home when our children were young. I am sorry that we did not keep in touch. If you need a friend to talk to or whatever, I am available. I wish I could be there for the service tonight, but I am ill. The doctor has me hooked up to a heart monitor, etc., trying to find out what is causing these probably little strokes.
Your old friend, Claire Hall
