Johnny Erickson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 9, 2012.
"Grandpa"
Johnny Lee Erickson was born August 14, 1962 in Orem, Utah to Frank and Ramona Erickson. He died on September 6, 2012 at home surrounded by family. John attended Bingham High School. He met his soul mate Lynn on January 3, 1987, and together they raised three children, lovingly welcoming a fourth into the family after an eighteen year absence. John loved to hunt, fish and ride his four wheeler. He worked for Superior Roofing and Sheet Metal for thirty years. He was active in The United Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Union, Local #91 where he served as President.
John is survived by his wife Lynn; two sons, Christopher (Amber) and Jeremy (Felicia); and two daughters, Angela and Felicia (Paul); and three granddaughters, Annabell, Hayleigh and Hannah, with a fourth on the way; four brothers, Frank (James), Danny (Pam), Clay (Jody) and Joe; with nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. John was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the boys at Superior for their love and generosity, brothers, not by birth, but brothers just the same. The children would like to thank the Management and Staff of U.T.A. for the kindness and understanding they showed to their mother. The family would like to thank Intermountain Home Health and Hospice, Intermountain Healthcare Hospital 9th floor staff, the Utah Cancer Specialists, and all the other medical professionals who so diligently cared for John. We face all tomorrows with our lives forever changed our hearts forever broken.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary South Valley, 1007 South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held Monday, September 10, 2012, from 6-8:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 8:00 p.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary South Valley, and a viewing Tuesday, September 11, 2012, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment:South Jordan City Cemetery.

Johny, Growing up with you sure kept me on my toes! I'm sure having a snotty little blond girl who followed you around drove you crazy, but you never let on! You made one of the best cousins I've had. I remember as we grew older we would run into each other. You were so sweet when we would sit down and take the time to catch up on life. It always felt like we had only missed a few months between seeing each other. You will be truly missed, but make sure you kiss that little grand baby before you send it here. You will always be in my heart....lots of love.

We will miss your smile, seeing you at 7-11, seeing you at our grandaughters Birthday Parties but most of all we will miss you! Thank you for loving our Daughter Amber when she married into your family and thank you for your friendship! As we on earth weep our loss you will be rejoicing in heaven with all who have passed before you. May you always be a guardian angel to Hayleigh and Hannah. We love you Jon.

Felicia, Paul, and Annabell-my sincere sympathies to all of you. Felicia, the love and care you gave to your Father was touching, compassionate and indeed loving. You and I would talk at work, and I could tell just how deeply you cared and loved him. The love you had for your Dad will always be with you throughout your life; and as well, many fond memories will live in your heart.
