Our deepest condolences to Jons family... We only met Jon twice, several years ago when he finished his basic training and after his daughter Sarah was born. He was very friendly, energetic, outgoing and well mannered! He was so proud to be serving in Marines and told us he was willing to die serving our country! Thank you Jon for all your sacrifices -May you RIP!
To Jons wife, children, family, and friends - may your memories help ease the pain during this most difficlt time. God bless

Jon Paul we didn't get to spend much time with you in the last few years but we are so proud of you and can never express the true gratitude for your service to this country and your belief in what you were doing. The last time I saw you I remember you had the biggest smile and such enthusiasm for what you believed in. You are in God's hands now and even though you will be terribly missed you are safe. With much love, Aunt Sandy and family
To Neisha words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Praying that God will carry you through this most difficult time and praying that he will watch over you, Gabby and your sweet baby on the way as you move forward with your life. I know Jon Paul would want you to find peace and happiness until you are joined together again.
To Jon's Mom Billie, Grandma Pat and family - I am so sorry for your loss and again words cannot express but I am so glad that your faith is strong and somehow you will find a way to get through this. Praying for you.

Unfortunately I never had the honor of meeting Jon but I have a profound respect for his service to this country and the man he was to his family and fellow Marines. The world has lost a great man, father, husband and warrior in the greatest Marine Corps tradition. Thank you Sir and may you rest in peace

When I first met Jonny he almost immediately took my son over his knee and started play-spanking him saying, "No bacon on the salad," repeatedly until Keoni shouted "No bacon!"
Then he would start it all over again. I laughed so hard. His humor was infectious. He could make a room laugh, even when they wanted to cry. He would know what to say to make this somehow feel better. I wish I knew what he would say.
He and Neisha found a love that was simply true, natural, and real. The kind of love I believe most people hope to find. It just worked. Seeing them happy made those around them happy. Never forget that Neisha. I hope that your beautiful children will always know how their father inspired people to be better, to love, and to help others. He is missed and is loved by many. Rest in peace Jonny.

Jon paul
will be missed tremendously. Although we had our differences and rarely saw eye to eye,.he was my.brother. his service to our nation will not be forgotten. His strength was shown from that alone.
I only.wish there was more time.
I.will remember Jon as the boy.who threw the football up in the air yelling "emit Smith!!" And forced Adam and myself to undergo football training.
The boy tht knew the Bible like the back of his hand. I will remember Jon for the man he was.
rip brother. You will not be forgotten

Dear Jonny,
While your death is a tragedy, I am certain you are at peace eternally in Heaven. Those of us still living know not the glory you are experiencing but we cling to the hope we will see you again.
I want you to know how blessed I feel to have known you, even for such a short, on and off again, time. You always made me laugh, like the big brother I always wanted. You made me feel safe and proud to be supportive of the military, knowing people like you were serving. I wish we had spent more time together and I wish you had had more time here, with all of us and most especially your wife and children.
To your children, I would want them to know you were a beautiful person. You were compassionate, strong (inside and out), curious to learn new things, had a great appreciation for family, and you love Johnny Cash with a passion. But most of all, you loved your children and your family with a determination few men possess; I hope they will understand that though you are not here, you are still with them, still looking down on them and protecting them.
God bless you, Jonny Dressler.
With love and friendship,
Summer Dreibelbis
PS: Lord Jesus, I ask that you comfort all Jonny's family and friends during this difficult time. Grant them peace, ease their minds and comfort their hearts. Remind them always of the love Jonny had (and still has) for them all and instill in them a heart for You, that they may meet their loved one in Heaven.
Amen
