Jonathan Grover Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 11, 2018.
Jonathan Edward Grover passed away peacefully at the age of 48, on February 7, 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Jon, as most knew him, was born on February 22, 1969 in Buffalo, NY and was the son of Elmer Grover of Marlborough, NH and Patricia O'Neil Grover of Scottsdale, Arizona and Yarmouth, Maine.

Jon attended Marlborough Elementary and Middle Schools and graduated from Keene High School in 1987. He was very active in sports in school and played basketball and soccer for Keene High School.

Shortly after graduation, Jon entered the Navy and served as a nuclear submarine officer based out of the Groton, CT Naval Base. Following his time in the Navy, Jon attended Keene State College before relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona and starting a long career in the financial industry.

Jon was a handsome, charismatic man with many, many friends. Once you were Jon's friend, you were a life friend and he never let you go.

Jon is survived by his daughter Oriana; his mother, Patricia O'Neil Grover; his many siblings: Christopher Grover (Rosita) and their family, Jay Grover (Amy) and their family, David Grover and his family, Suzanne Grover-Ellen (Richard) and their family, Thomas Grover (Tami) and their family, Jennifer Grover (partner Peter) and her family, James Grover (Gina), Jessica Grover; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jon was predeceased by his father, Elmer Grover.

A celebration of Jon's life will be held on Friday, February 16th from 7:00PM to 9:00PM in the Foley Funeral home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH.

For those who wish, donations may be made to a special fund which will be established in Jon's memory to benefit the Keene High School Golf Team, a sport that Jon truly enjoyed playing.

I am so shocked and broken. I cannot imagine the pain and grief the Grover family must be going through, as well as his closest friends. I met Jon In my mid-twenties, but I immediately felt like I knew him all my life. He was as genuine a person as you will ever find. A true friend that always tried to keep in touch; my heart goes out to all his family and closest friends. .
So long Jon.. So long Groovy ..
I will love you and miss you always.

In loving memory of a wonderful person.
God Bless You.
