On Thursday, February 15, 2018, Jonathan "JJ" Watkins, 47, of Swissvale, PA. Son of Demaris Watkins; grandson of Richard (Dickie) and Rose Watkins; brother of Kathleen Bivins; Ramona E. Watkins, and Adam (Tammy) Barnett. Also survived by other family members and friends. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. February 20, 2018 at Living Water Ministry, 736 Washington Avenue, Braddock, PA., where the funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. February 21, 2018. Interment Private. Services of comfort entrusted to WATTS MEMORIAL CHAPEL, INC., 808 Talbot Ave., Braddock, PA 15104. (412) 271-3880.

My most precious memory of J. J., when he became good friends of my son, Patrick. They would be outside playing as little boys
and always came to our home wit a stray dog (at least three (3) times). Even though they promised grandma, that they would feed, bath, clean up after the dog and even walked the dog. The only thing that they did was played. Then came along, Patrick's brother, Demond (Stu). So, the three (3)of them, hung together❤❤. What fun my mom, enjoyed with these three strapping boys who enjoyed grandma's cooking. Then, Patrick and Jonathan, went on an interview at Monroe
ville Chrysler and Mr. Eddie Little, hired them to wash cars. Patrick, obtain a job selling cars and J. J., washed cars for a minute. Then, he stepped out on faith and started his own Detailing business. A wonderful blessing to his heartfor years.

❤we will forever remember Jonathan James "J. J." Watkins. My, son; my son's and daughters-in-law's other brother; my granddaughter's uncle (and a god-father) and my great-granddaughter's (great-godfather).

Gone but never Forgotten, Good Joyous Cousin: Dr. Curtiss E. Porter. Your life was the "hub" around which a community spun. You car wash cleaned more than cars but filtered memories and cleared the spaces in men's and an occassionaly women's minds to remind.them of the greatness. All this you gave, unburdened, a gift to all, you are, were and well be.
