JORGE LUIS PENA SR. ELSA - Jorge Luis Peña Sr., the man, the myth, the legend, Aka Huicho Patas, Aka Tasmanian devil went home on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his Elsa residence. He was 56 years old. Jorge loved lottery tickets, taking pictures with his camera, Jello with fruit, Marlboro Reds, 24 ounce Budweisers, and vodka. He loved sitting in his truck listening to oldies and always enjoyed the company of a good drinking buddy. He loved his dogs, and his dogs loved him. There was never a stray dog that ever left his home. A mut that wandered to his place was guaranteed food, a name, and the refuge of a large piece of property to call home. Jorge hated politics but loved talking trash to his buddies. Jorge was a jack of all trades. He raised horses, cut and sold hay, built condos at the island, and doubled as owner to both a gym and an ambulance company. He rode eighteen wheelers for many years across the country. This made him the best driver known to man. Anyone looking to park or reverse in the tightest of spots could count on Jorge for the job. Al Bundy was his TV hero. And he was the hero of his wife Patricia and his four children: Jorge, Eloisa, Yvonne, and Jason. When Jorge left to the big pachanga in the sky, he left behind his wife, his children, and eleven beautiful grandchildren, and a posse of sad dogs and horses. We all look forward to scratching some lottery tickets and sharing some vodka and grapefruit juice with him in heaven. Jorge was born May 14, 1957 in Elsa, TX to Manuel Peña and Antonia Garcia Peña. He is survived by his parents that raised him, Miguel Pena and Francisca Gonzalez Pena, his wife Bertha "Patty" Pena, 2-sons Jorge Luis (Jamie Garza) Pena, Jason Pena (Norma Ortega), 2-daughters Eloisa Pena (Miguel Tovar), Yvonne Pena (Luis Diaz), 11-grandchildren, his biological parents, brothers, Manuel, Jesus, Javier, Mario, Jaime, Joel and Marco Pena, 2-sisters Alicia Becerra and Adela Villalpando, numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral service will be today at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch, TX. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park of Weslaco, TX. Military honors will be conducted by Benito Alaniz post # 7473. Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home 304 E.
