Jose Antonio Macias

Jose Antonio Macias went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 12, 2021. "Tony" was born in El Paso, Texas and served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Tony was a proud Hispanic small business owner. He owned Best Glass on Alameda and provided quality service to the El Paso community for 45 years. Tony was a husband of 54 years to Irma Gaucin Macias and together, they raised two children. While he worked tirelessly to make Best Glass a success, Tony's pride and joy was watching his children grow into wonderful and successful adults. Tony had a love for baseball and whether it was watching his granddaughter, Kelsey, play softball in high school or his favorite team, the Texas Rangers, the game brought him joy. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved a good joke. Tony was a devout Catholic who was proceded in death by his parents Benjamin Macias, Sr. and Estela Candelaria Macias and brothers Alberto Macias, Reymundo Macias, Luis Macias and Benjamin Macias Jr. Tony is survived by his wife of 54 years Irma Gaucin Macias, daughter Linda Perez, son Michael Macias, grandchildren Kelsey Rae Bell and Gabriel Perez and one great grandchild. Tony is also survived by his sisters Angelina Serna, Cecilia Olivas, and Maria Trujillo. Tony was loved by many and all that knew him will miss his smile, laugh and engaging personality.

The memorial service for Tony will be held by San Jose Funeral Home East, on April 8th from 10:30am. to 12:30pm. The graveside service will be for family only at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
