Joseph Breyer Obituary

Joseph William Breyer, 80, of Crossville, passed away July 4, 2008. Funeral services were conducted July 10 at the Crossville Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment was in New Era Cemetery in Crossville, near the family home.

Mr. Breyer was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Milton, WI, the son of Maree and Fred Breyer.

He was retired from Broadview Academy in Illinois where he worked as maintenance director. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed his family, gardening, farming and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; sisters, Adaline Gibson of Loma Linda, CA, Charlotte Rhodes and husband John of Crossville and Gertrude Dasczkiewicz of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Karen Breyer of Colton, CA and David and Jackie Breyer of Warrensburg, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Cheri (Breyer) and Jeff Woodcock of Cookeville; and grandchildren, Holly Breyer, Jessie Breyer, Kallie Breyer, Rebecca Breyer, Trenton Newman, Cody Breyer, Jordan Breyer, Kyle Breyer, Nicole Woodcock, Katie Woodcock, Megan Woodcock, Matthew Woodcock and Lily Woodcock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Sue Breyer.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Joe Breyer Memorial Fund. This fund will benefit Great Lakes Adventist Academy worthy students. Make checks payable to GLAA and mail to Joe Breyer Memorial Fund, Great Lakes Adventist Academy, PO Box 68, Cedar Lake, MI 44812.
